Being culturally aware and responsive in our interactions and participation of care has become increasing important. The issue of “Cultural Responsiveness” is even more important as we care for groups of people in various communities. You will have many opportunities to improve your cultural skills during your Community Health Nursing Clinicals.

Cultural Assessment Guidelines

Choose a client who is from a different culture than yourself. You will conduct an interview, research aspects of the culture that you may not obtain from your client, and write sharing your findings. You will then suggest an effective/appropriate management of care for clients of this particular culture.
