Create a video of yourself performing
two different therapies.

1. First, you will present a brief case scenario describing the client with whom you will perform the therapy. State the patient’s demographic information such as age, gender, race, marital status, occupation, and other pertinent information. Make sure you discuss the patient’s cultural considerations and how it relates to their present symptoms. Give a brief synopsis of the case, and why the patient has come to see you. State the patient’s diagnosis and provide enough history to understand the case. *Note: You may use a fictitious client or base your client on someone you have seen during clinicals.
Do not include any identifying information such as names or place of employment.

2. Choose two different types of therapy and select one skill for each therapy. Briefly explain the evidence supporting your choice for the type of therapy and why it is appropriate for this particular patient. Next, in a scholarly manner, you will define the key words and concepts of that psychotherapeutic approach. Then you will briefly explain each skill you will be demonstrating and the intended outcome of the skill. *Note: The branches of therapy and types of skills should be sufficiently different from each other (for example, you cannot do cognitive behavioral therapy and behavioral therapy and do skills of progressive relaxation and relaxation breathing.) You also may NOT use a skill that requires advanced training and certification, such as EMDR.

3. Finally, you will demonstrate yourself performing each of the two skills. Note *You may use another person in the video who pretends to be your client. This is so that you can have someone responding to your questions and other directions. This person must be over the age of 18 and should not be seen on the video (only their voice should be heard).
