When the ambulance arrives to take him into the hospital they find out that he is a diabetic for the past 5 years, was diagnosed with dementia (Alzheimers) and his wife who is at the scene claims that she thinks that he is in shock. 

Questions:

a) Discuss the differences between dementia and delirium and how the EMT’s can tell the difference?

b) What additional information would you want to diagnose D.T.?

c) Is there a particular condition that may stand out as the cause of the accident? Why?
