In this course, you will select a healthcare-acquired condition like ventilator-associated pneumonia. You will use this topic for all of the assignments.
Assignment # 1 requires you to describe the magnitude of the problem and the purpose for studying it.
Assignment #2 requires you develop a qualitative research question, describe each of the qualitative research methods and to choose and justify the one most appropriate to answer your research question.
The next step is to describe the qualitative data collection methods You will also chose and justify the one most appropriate to answer your research question.
Finally, explain the challenges and value of your chosen data collection method.
Create a heading for each criterion and place them in the order of the scoring guide because it is the order used in conducting research.
Assignment #3 requires you to do the same thing as assignment #2; except you will focus on quantitative research.
Assignment #4 tests whether you can develop a new study by choosing a method and data collection strategy. Many students miss the primary requirement, which is to explain the context (meaning how each one of the research elements fits with the other components).
