Hi, these are two student discussion post. Each discussion must be responded with the minimum of 75 words with references include.

1. An organization that initiated a project in response to COVID-19 is the World Bank group.

“According to The World Bank Group they initiated several projects in response to COVID-19 to support economic stability and recovery in developing countries”. The project initiation force was the urgent need to address the economic fallout from the pandemic. These projects aimed to provide financial assistance, policy advice, and technical support to help us out while in crisis mode , protect vulnerable populations, and foster long-term sustainable growth.

The category that the World Bank Group fits in is the drive change. The reason I say this is because The World Bank Group is not just about handing out money. They’re actively pushing countries to make real improvements. They give loans, but they also offer advice and support to help countries change for the better. They’re all about creating lasting impact, whether it’s tackling poverty, boosting education, or fighting climate change.

The World Bank went with a matrix structure because it’s very flexible. They can mix and match experts from different fields to tackle projects. This setup lets them bring everyone together, share knowledge, and get stuff done efficiently.

Another organizational benefit that the World Bank Group might produce is the Hybrid organizational structure.

2. Back when Covid 19 first hit the world, and we had that major shut down everywhere, there were companies all over that just could not make it, and some that really fought it but still could not find the way to break through that shut down. The companies that I did notice were able to stick around were the ones that used this whole situation to create a company project to help them still grow and stay open during this time. At that time, I work for a Rent a Center, I had actually just taken over my own store, so I was still new and really did not know how to handle such a major problem. As for my company at the time, they started working towards being more online and only focused on deliveries. We were able to keep a solid distance from everyone, and we were also able to build our sales in the process. This became a massive project for the whole company, and eventually everything became online and over the phone based, we were even geared up to send text messages from our system. I would have to say that this was more of a derivative project because these were things that we were already really able to do, but we just made them better. As for the type of project, it was definitely a business project, within a corporate company, with a lot of IT involvement. Another two things that this whole project helped with was labor, because we did not have to have as many employees in the building because most of the business was over a computer, and it helped in making the customers lives easier because they could really do everything from home.
