Abstract
Background: – Cross-sector collaborations are now crucial for tackling complex issues in a
time of growing interconnectedness and complexity. However, a strong framework for risk
management is crucial to the success of these partnerships. According to studies, inadequate
governance and mismatched risk strategies account for over 60% of cross-sector project
failures. This emphasizes the importance of investigating cross-sector collaborative risk
management, which makes this study essential for improving joint venture performance,
accountability, and resilience.
Purpose:- This research aimed to investigate the effectiveness of risk management practices
within cross-sector partnerships. The study focused on answering the following questions:
1. To what extent does institutional commitment affect the effectiveness of risk
management in multi-sector?
2. How does planning and developing a risk management framework contribute to
improving the effectiveness of risk management?
3. What is the impact of implementing a risk management approach on the effectiveness
of risk management and mitigation of operational risks?
4. To what extent do monitoring, review, and evaluation processes of the risk
management framework enhance the effectiveness of risk management and achieve
continuous improvement?
Research Design and Methodology: – To investigate the connection between risk
management aspects and their overall efficacy, a descriptive and correlational research
approach was used. Stakeholders participating in cross-sector partnerships were given a
standardized questionnaire to complete in order to gather data. Five primary dimensions—
commitment, planning and development, implementation, monitoring, and improvement—
were covered in the questionnaire. A 5-point Likert scale was used to measure the responses.
Trends and distributions were evaluated using descriptive statistics, and associations between
variables were assessed using SPSS and Pearson’s correlation coefficient.
Findings: – Regarding the significance and integration of risk management throughout the
relationship lifespan, the investigation found a usually high degree of agreement. Interestingly,
the dimension with the highest mean was “Improving Risk Management” (4.311), followed by
“Monitoring and Reviewing” (4.221) and “Commitment” (4.224). The “Risk Response” had the
strongest link with the efficacy of risk management (r = 0.745, p
