Hey everyone,

I’m working on my biology assignment about protein synthesis, and I’m getting a bit confused between transcription and translation. I understand they’re both steps in the process, but I’m not totally clear on what exactly happens in each stage, or where they take place in the cell.

Could someone help me break it down like this?

  1. What happens during transcription vs. translation?

  2. Where do each of these processes occur (nucleus or cytoplasm)?

  3. What are the main molecules involved in each step (like mRNA, tRNA, etc.)?

Any simple explanation or visual resources would be super helpful. Thanks in advance for your time — really appreciate it!
