Consider this summative practice session to present all the work you have completed to
your administration. The goal is to demonstrate your ability to become an Instructional
Coach or to lead a group of Instructional Coaches. You will present a synopsis of the
benefits of Instructional Coaching, both your plan for an initial implementation using the
resources available in your organization now and the fully developed plan from
Deliverable 2. As a part of the presentation, you will also describe several of the key
components from prior competencies, as noted below.

You should prepare a presentation in PowerPoint or another presentation software and
then create the recording using any screen-sharing tool of your choice, such as
Screencast-O-Matic, Zoom, etc., that allows the same functionality of a shared screen
with a video and audio component. The purpose of this portion of the assessment is to
display your ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formats while
explaining the benefits of Instructional Coaching. This presentation should be no more
than 10 minutes.

Be sure to include the following in your presentation:

● Introduction appropriate to the audience (which you should identify in
the opening slide)

● Benefits associated with Instructional Coaching based upon the
research

● Overview of the plan to conduct the precycle conversation and the
Identify cycle with the teachers

● Image of your Playbook Table of Contents with at least 10 strategies
sorted into appropriate categories

● How to implement the coaching process from the ground up
● The alignment of this plan with other initiatives or grants in place
● The rationale for the necessary resources to hire, develop, and

communicate Instructional Coaching goals
● The initial plan using existing resources if fully funded plan is not an

option at this time
● Description of how the Instructional Coaching plan would be evaluated,

focusing on improvement to student outcomes
● Evaluation of the potential barriers to the implementation of

Instructional Coaching overall
