Discussion Thread: The Art of Note Taking and Writing

Documentation is required for nearly every response by a law enforcement officer.

· In this module, please discuss the need for note taking and how it might facilitate your ability to complete more effective reports.

· Additionally, please discuss the various options available for officers in their note taking and investigatory efforts.

· Finally, please discuss the importance of accurate, clear and legible writing in both note taking and report writing and how that might impact your ability to effectively and accurately record the facts surrounding a response and investigation.

· For the discussion activities, please note that while the instructions may not explicitly mention Biblical principles, they are an essential criterion in the Grading Rubric Chart. Therefore, be sure to incorporate Biblical principles or a Christian worldview in your main post and responses to ensure alignment with the grading criteria.

· Additionally, while the instructions specify that each main post requires two academic sources and each reply requires one academic source, please be aware that Biblical sources will not be considered academic scholarly sources for this requirement
