Strategic Allocation of Resources Wrap-Up

The first thing that springs to mind when I hear about strategic allocation of resources is the distribution of funds throughout the company. Where is the company concentrating on raising or lowering money to use the resources at its disposal strategically? When I hear the phrase about strategic allocation of resources, I picture identifying the areas of an organization where a commercial operation lacks the financing necessary to realize its full potential. The intelligent distribution of resources impacts every aspect of the company. For a business to be profitable, resource allocation must be done well. I am interested in finding out how a company evaluates the strategic use of its resources. Examples of businesses that effectively changed how their resources were allocated and produced better outcomes would interest me. Additionally, I want to learn how to identify when a company needs to change how its resources are allocated. In addition to the advantages and optimization it may offer a business, I wish to learn about the significance of strategic resource allocation. Understanding the rationale behind how corporations distribute their resources is one of the main things I expect to learn from this course. Along with learning how strategic resource allocation relates to my Christian faith, I hope to understand how I can continue allocating resources with God at the center of my choices. Psalm 90:12, “So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom” (King James Bible, 2017).

The math involved in determining when a task or project calls for reallocating resources to either boost or decrease the total amount of cash available is beyond my comprehension. The methodology used to choose where and when to deploy funding across these several programs is beyond my comprehension. Why more businesses are not concentrating on redistributing resources from unsuccessful tasks or projects to more lucrative internal projects is another thing I don’t now understand. What makes an organization decide to start redistributing its resources strategically inside the company? Resource allocation has a direct impact on every aspect of business. If the proper resources are not assigned to its processes, a supply chain operation cannot function. The quantity of individuals and funds used to create marketing for an organization may directly impact that organization’s marketing. Effectively allocating the appropriate amount of resources to each function puts an organization in a better position than one that cannot identify the strategic allocation of resources. An organization’s marketing may suffer even more if funds are spent on incorrect advertising. An organization may be wasting money by investing resources in a physical advertising campaign, which would reduce revenues, if it only uses digital media to boost profits and ignores this trend. An organization’s strategic resource allocation for employee payroll is another important consideration that may impact other business domains. Every aspect of an organization is impacted by strategic resource allocation, which can boost and enhance a company’s chances of success.
