The Scenario:A major U.S. city is expanding the use of facial recognition software in its criminal justice system. The software is used to identify suspects in surveillance footage, monitor protests, and track people at airports and public events.

Proponents argue it makes policing more efficient and modern.Critics argue it misidentifies people of color and violates privacy.

The city is taking public feedback before voting on full implementation.

Step 2: Choose a Stakeholder Role

Choose ONE of the following stakeholder perspectives for your initial post:

  1. Police Leadership – You want this tool to fight crime and improve public safety.
  2. Civil Rights Advocate – You’re concerned about racial bias and surveillance.
