Choose one real-world example of collaboration between two or more companies in the
field of technology or innovation. Write a 1000–1200 word analytical report answering the
following:

Q1. Briefly describe the collaboration. Why did the companies choose to collaborate instead of
pursuing solo development? What complementary strengths did each partner bring to the
table? (2 marks)
Q2. Identify the type of collaboration (e.g., joint venture, strategic alliance, licensing,
outsourcing, or collective research). Evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the
selected mode in the context of the project. (2 marks)
Q3. How was the collaboration managed? Discuss any governance mechanisms (contractual,
equity-based, or relational) that were used to ensure fairness and success. (2 marks)
Q4. Critically assess how well the partnership aligned with the strategic goals of the
companies. Did it provide competitive advantage? Was it a good strategic fit in terms of
resources and capabilities? (2 marks)
Q5. What insights can be drawn from the collaboration? If you were a manager in a similar
scenario, what would you do differently or similarly? (2 marks)
