Visit the following sites:  search for the disorder, read through the information, then look up relevant information on “Research and Statistics” or “Journal Articles or Reports” to find other links of helpful information. Look elsewhere as well for details about the prevalence, signs, symptoms, details, and research related to the disorder. Keep track of all of your sources as you investigate.

STEP 2: In a 600-word pdf/word document use the headings below to discuss information about the disorder:

  • Description
  • Prevalence
  • Causes and Risk Factors
  • Recent Research (referencing at least 3 research articles)
  • Either as a footnote on the same page, or on a separate page, include the citations in APA format

STEP 3: Create a simple, yet visually interesting “At-a-Glance” poster utilizing the above information from your word/pdf document.

Grading Rubric

Content: Include detailed, yet concise, sections including the description, prevalence, and causes and risk factors of the illness (4%)

Format: 600 words paper with 1.5-line spacing (12 pt font in times new roman). Paper should have no grammatical errors and should be easy to read. Title Page. Reference page separate. APA citations. (2%)

Research and Citations: Concisely and clearly explains at least three recent research articles (within the past 10 years), summarizes key research, and includes APA references (2%)

Design: Creates a simple, yet visually interesting poster using the information gathered. (2%)
