For your original post, find a recent (i.e., no older than 2000) online news article in which the reduction of crime is discussed and attributed to the work of the local police department. In this initial post, complete the following five tasks:

  1. Provide a working link to the article.
  2. Summarize the article’s content (e.g., crime problem, police response, relevant context and details) and the argument that was made as to why the police were responsible for the crime reduction.
  3. Identify what responses were implemented and whether crime prevention or apprehension was discussed.
  4. Discuss whether the reason for the crime reduction is backed with meaningful crime analysis data and comparisons.
  5. State a conclusion as to whether you think a convincing argument waws made. If not, provide suggestions for how the crime analysis could have provided more evidence to support the conclusion.

Write 200-400 words, using key terms and ideas from the assigned readings. Feel free to draw from additional readings (e.g., Google Scholar).
