For Part I, you need the Consumer Sentinel Network’s 2020 Data File. This file contains data on identity theft, fraud, and other consumer-related incidents reported to the Federal Trade Commission. 

For Part II, you need the research article “Explaining fear of identity theft victimization using a routine activity approach” (Choi et al., 2021). This is a peer-reviewed empirical study of how peoples’ daily behaviors and interactions relate to their fear of becoming an identity theft victim.
