Nice work presenting the four scales of measurement. Why is it that despite ratio scale being at the highest level of information, is not commonly achieved in research? According to Kline et al. (2005), research aims for interval scale but achieves ordinal level. If I am interested in measuring age and response time, why would I use ordinal or interval instead of ratio if response time can be true zero variable?
