Critical Thinking Assignment: Delegating Tasks Memo (110 points)

Review the case study in your textbook, “I Can’t Do it All!” located on page in the integrative case studies starting on page 412. There are advantages and disadvantages of decentralized decision-making, and this case study provides a few examples. A CEO must be able to delegate tasks to others to efficiently lead the facility.

For this case study assignment, create a company memo addressed to the company President and Human Resources Director in which you discuss Mr. Brice’s position at Healthdyne, including the decisions he must make as outlined in the case study.

Your memo should address the following substantive requirements in an order you find most appropriate, but all elements must be included:

Describe the need to delegate tasks and the importance of teams.

Explain how Mr. Brice should organize the work at Healthdyne.

Address specifics such as detailing Vice Presidents’ job descriptions.

Describe in detail how managers will report to other departments.

Include information as to advantages and disadvantages of decentralized decision making.

Your memo should meet the following structural requirements:

Four-to-five pages in length, not including the cover sheet and reference page.

Formatted according to APA 7th edition and Saudi Electronic University writing standards

Provide support for your statements with in-text citations from a minimum of four scholarly articles. Two of these sources may be from the class readings, textbook, or lectures, but the other two must be external. The Saudi Digital Library is a good place to find these references.
