Module 1: Problem Statement, Research Question, and Methodology Selection

Introduction: In this Session Long Project, you will develop a hypothetical research study applying both qualitative and quantitative research concepts. Each module will focus on adding new components to your study, starting with identifying the problem statement, research question, and selecting your methodology.

Part 1: Problem Statement

For this module, you will articulate the problem statement that your research study aims to address. Consider a relevant and significant issue within your field of interest.

Part 2: Research Question

Next, formulate a clear and concise research question that aligns with your identified problem statement. Your research question should guide the focus and direction of your study.

Part 3: Methodology Selection

Choose either qualitative or quantitative methodology for your hypothetical research study. Justify your choice of methodology based on its appropriateness for answering your specific research question.

Additionally, specify the design you will be using, as each methodology has specific designs that best suit different research questions.
