Peter: Peter is an English language learner who was born in Mexico and speaks only Spanish in the home. His listening and speaking skills in English are stronger than his reading and writing skills. He struggles with content-specific and academic vocabulary. He is below grade level in both ELA and math.

Isabella: Isabella is a student who is performing below grade level in math and is on grade level in ELA. She has a 504 plan because she has hearing aids in both ears and wears glasses.

Richard: Richard is a gifted student who is above grade level in both ELA and math. Richard has ADHD and has trouble focusing during class.

Luisa: Luisa is performing at grade level in both math and ELA. She is a shy student who struggles to create relationships with her peers or work in groups.
