TALK Checklist – Single Child

Use the TALK strategy during your warm-up activity or throughout the day as you engage
children in conversations, observing how they use language to express their thoughts,
wants, needs and feelings. Then, use the checklist to observe a target child as they engage
in conversations with adults and other children. *Note: This checklist was adapted from a
