For this assignment, you will need to watch the film,
12 Angry Men (1957, Orion-Nova Productions) located in the Topic 7 electronic resources. The film brings to life many of the concepts covered in class to date.

Below, please provide
specific examples from the film to support your ideas/claims. Be sure to include proper APA citations within your document and a full APA reference list.

Write your responses directly on this worksheet. Your response to each question must be at least 200 words in length, but you are free to exceed that minimum to cover all required content. Be sure to paraphrase definitions of concepts. Integrate at least two peer-reviewed scholarly sources from the GCU library, in addition to citing the textbook, to support your statements.

1. Identify patterns of
persuasion,
conformity,
minority influence, and
other social influences. Provide specific examples of each concept witnessed in the film and identify which concept each example reflects. Provide supportive in text citation from your textbook.

2. Describe the terms
stereotypes and
prejudice. Assess instances of stereotypes and prejudice while watching the jurors deliberate in the film. Offer examples of specific behaviors observed in the jurors, explaining which concept the behaviors illustrate. Make connections to possible cognitive biases or attitudes that motivated the juror’s behavior.

3. Identify the progression of Zillman’s three stages of escalation within the film. Offer an explanation of Zillman’s provocation model, and examples of character behaviors illustrating each specific stage from the film

4. Describe and offer examples of biological causes of aggression, cultural causes of aggression, and situational causes of aggression. Which of these was present in the film and how? Offer specific examples of character behavior and explain how the behavior illustrates each cause of aggression. Provide supportive in text citation from your textbook.

5. Define

group polarization. Explain how the film demonstrated groupthink and group polarization. Offer at least three specific examples of character behavior, identifying which concept they each illustrate and why/how.
