Educational leaders must possess strong collaborative skills and understand the processes and ethical practices necessary for effective strategic planning.

As the leader of the project, you are now tasked with devising the action plan for achieving the strategic goal. The plan should be based on your review of the district improvement plan, knowledge of the district, and the goal you identified in the Topic 1 assignment.

In a 750-1,000 words, outline your action plan for achieving the strategic goal. The plan should include the following sections.

  • State the strategic goal and explain how achieving it will improve the district and advance the vision and mission.
  • Describe the scope of the action plan which might include an overview of the key milestones, key performance indicators, and project deliverables, depending on the unique goal you have selected.
  • Describe the key resources that will be needed to achieve the strategic goal including discussion of each of the following: people, capital, physical resources, technology, facilities, and training. Discuss how the resources will be obtained and what cost estimates are associated with each.
  • Describe how you will manage and monitor the budget associated with the strategic goal, including a discussion about how unexpected budget expenses will be addressed.
  • Consider the Christian worldview perspective and the “Character Education Resources” and “Statement on the Integration of Faith and Work” and explain the importance of demonstrating personal character and practical wisdom in developing your action plan. Discuss how you applied discernment and ethical decision-making when formulating the plan to ensure it is in the interest of all stakeholders, promotes the organizational mission and vision, and fosters human flourishing within the organization.
