Select a postmodern photograph from a reputable source, such as a notable museum or archive. The image must be an example of postmodern photography, taken by a postmodern photographer. (The image cannot just be photo documentation of postmodern architecture, sculpture, performance art, etc.) Include the link to the website where you located the image, and embed the image in your initial post. Then, discuss the following:

· In what ways does the image challenge modernist notions of progress and photography as a mere matter of “writing with light”?

· What advances in technology altered our conception of photography?

For each of your two response posts, compare your peer’s photograph to your own and then address the following questions:

· From a postmodern perspective, how did the image collapse the distinction between high art and low art?

· What made it “art” in its context? Based on that, which of the two images could be argued more “art”? If neither, explain why.
