Task:

Write a 1000 word essay that reflects on your reading, writing, and thinking processes this term. What have you learned about yourself as a reader, writer, and thinker? Your essay (with all the necessary elements of an essay) should address the two general areas below. The questions listed are suggestions for elements to consider. You don’t need to answer them all, but you do need to address each of the two general areas.

Improvement and challenges to your reading, writing, and thinking skills:

  • How has your writing improved this term? How do you know?
  • What challenges remain to your writing skills? What do you need to continue to work on?
  • How has your thinking process changed? What is different about it now?

Time, labor, and process:

  • What have you learned about the relationship between the time you spend reading and writing and the products you produce?
  • How did the labor-based grading system impact your writing? Did you write more or less?
  • How have your reading, writing, and thinking processes changed this quarter?
