Over the past decade, there have been several protests within the US aimed at different perceived problems in society.

Three protests include:

1. Black Lives Matter (official and unofficial), protesting perceived injustices for black youths vis-à-vis the police.

2. Occupy Wall Street, a 2011-2012 movement protesting the growing inequality between the rich (the so-called 1%) and the other 99% of the population.

3. The March for Life, an annual rally held in Washington D.C. aimed at protesting legal abortion in the United States.

4. “The Freedom Convoy, which consisted of a series of protests and road blockages by truckers in the US and Canada aimed at protesting COVID-19 restrictions.

Choose one of these three recent cases of civil disobedience and evaluate it in 2-4 paragraphs. What was the point? Was that point legitimate? What were the methods used and were they legitimate? Were they effective in changing either perception or legislation on their issue?

Most importantly, what are the job and employment criticisms that are part of the agenda of the protest you have chosen? What working issues are part of their platform?
