· Identify at least two distinct areas of concern (challenges) faced by families in each of your two chosen stages.

· Then, find and share one resource that families in each stage might find helpful. Explain why and how it would be helpful.

1. Contrast the developmental milestones across the five distinct stages of the family life cycle identified in your readings.

2. Then, find and summarize one recent research study (within five years) that offers new insights into each of the five stages. Use 

3. Describe how the research relates to, is aligned with, adds to, or contradicts the readings and how can the research be used to help families.

For example, you might choose to compare parenting young children and parenting adolescents. Discuss the various milestones, issues and challenges faced by both families. Search for articles related to families at both stages and summarize each, including the participants, methodologies and key findings (results). Finally, describe how the research compares to your readings on family stages and how it might be used to help families with teens and young children.
