2. What crimes should be diverted to mental health courts and why? Does the current selection process run counter to the purpose of providing treatment to those with mental illness?

3. If a jurisdiction cannot adequately service those in need, in this case, criminals with mental disorders, should specialty courts be considered as an option? If so, why? If not, what measures should be taken by the traditional courts?

4. When those with a mental health disorder are found guilty of a crime, should the enrollment and completion of treatment be a mandated condition of their sentence? Why or why not? Lastly, for those sent to mental hospitals, why do you believe the length of their stay is often greater than incarceration?
