Your assignment is to write a

descriptive

case study.  Descriptive case studies start with a
descriptive theory.  The subjects are then observed, and the information gathered is compared to the pre-existing theory.  Psychology, nursing, and business are common fields in which the case-study method is applied.

One of the most important considerations when writing a case study is to keep in mind that it is detective work. In this scientific method, you’ll approach an individual and apply a set of circumstances and interview questions to observe and report the outcomes.

You have been introduced to numerous theories about human development over the last few weeks.
Your assignment is to interview an individual and compare what you have learned to what you have experienced.
Choose to interview either a child, adolescent, or young adult for this study, and ask him/her
a minimum of 5 age-appropriate questions that reflect the theories you have studied thus far. (Note:  question options are posted below)

Most case studies are written in APA format. Use the template that you created during the first week of class to ensure proper format. See important content posted in this module for more information on the components and content required in an effective case study.

Your paper should be a minimum of 4 full pages (content) and utilize a minimum of 3 sources (2 peer-reviewed journal articles and your textbook).

· Times New Roman, size 12 font

· True double-space (be sure to select “no spacing” and then double space)

· You may use your textbook as one of your sources – the citation is posted in the syllabus
