Using the chapters by Cockburn and the novel by Nović, address how families changed as a result of the wars. What do the readings say about how the wars impacted children, husbands, wives, and family dynamics in general?

The unessay constitutes a critical and active engagement with the course material that shows insight and creativity and demonstrates time and effort devoted to creating something thoughtful. The chosen medium works persuasively with the design and polish of the unessay; includes a clear and insightful connection between course themes; and reflects a convincing and nuanced thesis with good examples. You might be wondering how an unessay has a “thesis.” A thesis is a persuasive argument, for example, “White Americans, overall, are wealthier than Black Americans, Native Americans, and Latinx in the United States due to multiple forms of racism, not their biology.” This could be an argument that is demonstrated through a poem, a play, a graphic novel, or a painting or sculpture. A well-crafted unessay will include your thesis and an explanation of how your unessay responds to the prompt.

You must write a statement that explains what you did, why you did it, and how you went about producing, and the sources you used for the Unessay. This statement should be 1-2 pages long. Please include your sources in this statement!
