Discussion 4

Contemplate what the author is saying about null hypothesis testing, given how much time we spend on hypothesis testing in psychology statistics courses. Please give a brief summary of what the presenter is saying (a few main points) and share with the class your thoughts on the strengths and weaknesses of NHST and what you think of the new statistics.  In addition, please read through the PRISMA statement, which is a new checklist for review article authors to use for guidance in reducing bias from their article choice and data extraction. What do these two “new” directions have in common? Do they differ, and if so, how?

Please read the article at this link and the PRISMA statement
