M9 Project

In this module, we discuss the impact of parent training on the child behavior and the family as a whole.

Assume there is a similar parental training program in your agency that aims to help parents to implement behavioral intervention while they are on the waiting list. In this project, you are required prepare a 2-3 page, double-spaced with 12-font size report to:

Briefly describe the parental training program (including the goal, duration, target behavior and target child/parent).

Design a social validity questionnaire assessing parent’s opinion on the training program. The form would consist of 10-15 questions assessing the social validity aspects of the training such as the satisfaction of the program in terms of the efficacy and complexity, the perception of the effects on the child and also the family, and the parental stress. Use a Likert scale and include a section for calculating the average social validity score. You can also include some open-ended questions as well.

Briefly describe how you would make use of the information from the social validity questionnaire.

Include at least two references other than the ones included in this module.
