Have you ever gone out of your way for someone you love? Paid the check at the restaurant when you didn’t really have the money, drove the last 100 miles home on that long road trip? Lost sleep over someone who needed your company? What love is this?
Have you ever hurt for someone, taken the blame for something that wasn’t your fault, been betrayed over a wrongdoing that could never be made right? What love is this?

Yes, the cross where our Lord was crucified for and by those He loved—and with his dying breath uttered the greatest acclamation ever heard by mankind, “Father, forgive them! They know not what they are doing!”
