The way that you show the similarities and differences should provide the evidence for a claim you want the audience to leave the paper with a deeper understanding of: a thesis. Questions for Consideration: What traits qualify these pieces as being the same genre/category? What elements are expected from the genre/category, and how does each piece meet those expectations? How do the apparent differences represent an underlying uniqueness for each of the pieces? How might obvious differences be connected and somehow similar? How might seeming similarities actually have different components? What makes each of these pieces unique? How might the composers of each of these pieces influenced the similarities and differences?
