Q1. Write a reply to this article,

Based on this article alone, I would like to refer to the portion of the coursebook where it explains the meaning of negotiation and settlement.  This is where those who are involved in making negotiations come together with a compromising solution resolving their differences. The book also mentions that they may dispute their differences ” either with or without their lawyers and attempt to resolve their dispute. No independent or neutral third party is involved.” (Kubasek, N. K., Brennan, B. A., & Browne, M. N., 2017).

In the example you have given, I wonder if there have been cases filed where companies that do not own patented products allowed for businesses and corporations to benefit from their ideas in exchange for items such as stocks, bonds, and annuities that are outside of their own marketable products but was later found to be illegal or an unauthorized action in the legal realm.

Q2. Write a reply to this article

Very instructive article Manoj, thank you for sharing those pieces of information with us. According to our book “Intellectual property consists of the fruits of one’s mind. The laws of intellectual property protect property that is primarily the result of mental creativity rather than physical effort. This category includes trademarks, patents, trade secrets, and copyrights…” (Kubasek, N. K., Brennan, B. A., & Browne, M. N., 2017).  Intellectual property is very important especially nowadays. People tend to be less and less conscient about it and we are experiencing an increase in those cybercriminals and hackers. I am agreeing that Intellectual property can be very tricky and challenging to deal with.  As the world is growing and developing, those criminals are also working harder to be able to keep up and that is unfortunate because people should not take pleasure in using someone’s hard work for free.
