Do you think that watching violence on television increases violence

Do you think that watching violence on television increases violence and aggression in viewers? Why, or why not?

The second half of your Discussion Board assignment will be your response to another PSY 1010 classmate in Unit IV. Be sure to include the name of the person or question to which you are replying in the subject line. For example, “Tom’s response to Susan’s comment.”

***Be sure to proof your responses before posting to eliminate misspellings and typos. Please also use punctuation and capitalize where necessary. Ex- “I” is always capitalized. Proofing your work will ensure that your message is clear and understood by your reader, a necessity in communication. Points will be deducted if these guidelines are not followed.
ALSO PLEASE REPLY TO ANOTHER STUDENTS COMMENT BELOW

BRANDON:

I do feel violence in television will increase violence among viewers. The same goes for video games that young kids play on a daily basis. When we watch tv or play video games, the consequences are not always shown. They may also get out of the situation easier than they would in the real world. This may encourage others to do what is seen or challenge what they saw. This is no excuse and people should be responsible and know the consequences of what they do. However, this is not the case. Kids of a young age may not understand what is right or wrong but when they experience violence on television they will want to do it because it seems cool.
