Assignment 1:
Data File: Concert Sales (you can locate the file in Moodle under week 1).
Instructions:
For your first assignment you are asked to work with the data in the spreadsheet titled “Concert Sales” to demonstrate your understanding of descriptive statistics.
There are a number of ways to do this. For example, you can choose
· measures of central tendency (mean, median, mode, proportion),
· measures of dispersion (range, variance, standard deviation), and
· frequency distributions and histograms.
Choose three different ways/measures and carry them out directly in the spreadsheet. Save your spreadsheet with your Firstname_lastname and submit it in the designated area. Please note, it is your responsibility to have the correct software. If you do not have MS Excel, please contact your student advisor.
